Every writer has a story that starts out with “I’ve been writing since I was a child”, but growing up in the sticks of Alabama as a child that eschewed hunting and fishing for reading and playing video games, writing came naturally to me. I’ve always enjoyed exploring other universes, but I truly love creating them.

I graduated from Belmont University with a B.A. in Theatre in 2018 after a college career lousy with bad decisions and three different majors. My writing style is influenced by leftist politics, magical realism, Christian liberation theology, and the LGBT experience. I find theatrical genre writing to be where I thrive. My portfolio shows this: Opus is a modern queer fairy tale, Tall Tales is a supernatural horror story, burnout. has a Chorus of Motherfuckers that don masks and emanate malevolence.

I’m a writer and collaborator located in Nashville, TN, where I work with Woven Theatre as their Resident Playwright and Co-Head of New Works Development.

You will find that my plays are free to download on this site. That’s because I want everyone to be able to read my work, and not everyone has a New Play Exchange account (but they should!). Feel free to download and read at your leisure, and if you DO have an NPX account, consider dropping a recommendation on one of my plays.
